What is an Energy Audit?

Energy AuditAn Energy Audit is a home assessment to analyze how your home consumes energy and where improvements can be made.   Recommendations from the audit will guide a homeowner in improving the efficiency of their home to save money and make their home has healthy as possible.

What kinds of tests are run during an Energy Audit?

  • Blower Door Test measures the air tightness of your home to find leaks and evaluate the airflow within the home
  • Duct testing to find leakage within the HVAC system
  • Combustion Testing of gas appliances to ensure running safely and efficiently
  • Homeowner interview to assess usage and reoccurring issues within the home
  • Home walk through to evaluate any potential problems within the home
  • Insulation assessment
  • Lighting and appliance assessment
  • Health and Safety Inspection
  • Infrared camera test to see possible areas in need
